BWB Talk: Aroha Harris at the National Library
Description
We warmly invite you to this BWB Talk with Aroha Harris to celebrate the publication of her new book, We Are What We Write.
Aroha Harris (Te Rarawa, Ngāpuhi) MNZM is an award-winning historian and Associate Professor of History at Waipapa Taumata Rau–the University of Auckland. In this wide-ranging collection of essays, she brings together more than two decades of writing, drawing from public lectures, essays, tributes and previously unpublished reflections. Written with characteristic warmth and intellectual clarity, the collection explores the tensions between policy and people, the reshaping of Māori-Crown relationships, and the everyday acts of remembering that shape Māori worlds.
