Zoom: We will be meeting via Zoom, and sharing presentation materials over Google Docs and Google Slides. If you have access to a computer or laptop, we recommend you join the briefing by computer to make navigating the materials easier. A dial-in number will also be supplied in case you do not have access to a computer, or you can use the Zoom phone app (iOS | Android).
Resources
During the training we will use the screen share function to share slides. We will also share the messaging guide via Google Docs and PDF.
Early access to slides
A view-only version of the slide deck can be supplied early if this supports your participation. Any copies of the slides provided will include alt-text / image descriptions. If you need early access to materials, please mention this in the ‘access needs’ question when registering.
Caption and Auslan Interpretation
This briefing will be live captioned and Auslan interpreted (subject to interpreter availability).
Video and chat norms
We encourage everyone to have your cameras on if you feel comfortable, but do not require you to do so. Participants will be asked to introduce themselves in chat, and to enter responses in the chat throughout the training.
Tech and access support
The lead facilitator of the training will be able to assist with any tech support, including Zoom, the slide deck, and access. Depending on the size and needs of the cohort, we may have a second team member present to act as dedicated tech/access support.
Recordings and post-briefing resources
This briefing will be recorded and shared with registered participants, along with presentation slides.
Other supports
When you register for the event, we will ask if you have any access needs. If you need something in place that is not already arranged, or if you need more information about any part of the event, we will work with you to provide that.
