Want to know more about Plastic Free July?Â
It's Plastic Free July - avoid the 5 main single-use plastics today! Say no to STRAWS, CUPS, BOTTLED WATER, PLASTIC BAGS AND FOAM BOXES.
Join me for coffee and I'll talk you through it :)
I'm dedicating all proceeds from my events this July to 3 special organisations in Cambodia that have been making a huge impact during these testing and trying times and who've felt the extreme hardships of covid for over 18 months already.
Saturday 3rd July - 9.30am at The Kiosk, Bathers Pavillion, Balmoral Beach.
$5pp donation will go directly to these organisations. My goal this July is to raise $2000.
ABCs and Rice - always have been focused on education and nourishment, and throughout the last 18 months they've consistently provided food for the families of their students and community, REGARDLESS if school is open or not. That's amazing. We need to send them some support.
Eco Soap Bank - working in various countries including India and Cambodia, their focus is on making soap (from recycled soap by the way) and hand hygiene accessible, as well as providing jobs for people at community level. In addition they've sent a HUGE supply of soaps, face masks and sanitisers to India to help them out of their current peril. It's hard not to get behind that kind of compassion.
Haven Cambodia - where helping tastes good. My VERY FIRST trainees with the Plastic Free program and helping young people in Cambodia gain culinary skills to forge a career for themselves. During the pandemic they kept their trainees on for AN EXTRA YEAR so that they'd have food and shelter to get them through the worst of the pandemic. Absolutely stellar kindness, let's help them keep changing lives.
