Year 7 2022 BYOD Connection Day

On Monday 24 January 2022, Year 7 students accompanied by one parent, are required to attend a short half-hour IT Connection session at which she will be ‘connected’ to the College systems and be fully ready for classes. 30-minute sessions will be offered throughout the day from 8:00am with the last session being 2:30pm. Families are required to pre-book their timeslot.

Whilst your daughter’s device is being connected, the parent accompanying her will be briefed on important College communication and procedure processes. A member of the College IT team will also brief parents on the systems connection carried out on your daughter’s device and answer any questions you have.

Booking Your appointment

Please book one session for your daughter. The session must also be attended by one parent/carer. There is no need to book a place for the parent/carer - only book for your daughter. If you have more than one daughter commencing Year 7, please make a booking for each daughter.

The Connection Day will cover:

• Connecting the device to the College Wireless Network
• Signing in to MySRC
• Onboarding the device with JAMF (if you have a Mac)
• Installing the Cyberhound Internet Security Certificate
• Signing in to Office 365
• Installing Microsoft Office
• Installing OneDrive from the App Store (if you have a Mac)
• Installing Adobe Software
