Bystander Conversations after disasters – conversations about bystander interventions into gender-based violence.

ARC Gender Relations, Men and Family Centre will facilitate their bystander intervention training which:

Supports an understanding of family violence and trauma in the context of disaster
Explores how bystanders can intervene in gender-based (and other forms of) violence, in a post-disaster context and in everyday conversations and situations
Shows how gendered and social norms and subtle sexist attitudes are linked to disrespectful and abusive behaviours, and how these things are intensified in times of disasters
Invites reflection and supports participants to develop practical, active bystander intervention skills
