Construction and Demolition (C&D) Waste Management and Minimisation Training

Be part of Hamilton’s first training session focused on construction & demolition (C&D) waste management and minimisation. This event is tailored for professionals in the building sector who are eager to adopt more sustainable waste practices.

This training will be led by a team of experts from the Environmental Innovation Centre (EIC):

• Terri-Ann Berry, Co-Director of EIC and a leading researcher in sustainable waste management, brings deep expertise in developing practical, science-based solutions for the construction industry.

• Nigel Benton, Co-Director of EIC and President of Master Builders (Auckland), offers decades of hands-on experience in construction waste practices and industry leadership.

• Penny Thomson, Sustainable Design Consultant at EIC, specialises in transforming complex environmental data into clear, engaging information that make sustainability concepts accessible and actionable.

Together, they will guide participants through the essential principles of C&D waste management—exploring both the why and the how of effective waste minimisation.
