Event description

CAAWA Members Selective Exhibition

As part of Wedge – the Australian Ceramics Triennale

As Kambarang arrives, please join us to celebrate the opening of the Ceramic Arts Association (CAAWA) Members Exhibition. This annual exhibition showcases the work of West Australian artists and continues to raise the profile of clay within the ceramics and wider community. The opening event will mark the first day of Wedge – the Australian Ceramics Triennale, which explores connections, collaborations and divisions within the increasingly sophisticated practices of ceramic artists today. The opening coincides with the first day of Wedge - the Australian Ceramics Triennale, being held in Walyalup/Fremantle between 2nd-5th October.  For more information about the Triennale please visit: Home | 2025 Australian Ceramic Triennale | Fremantle, WA

The Kusnik Award, Western Australia’s most prestigious ceramics prize valued at $7,500, will be presented on the opening night of the exhibition. This is the only opportunity for WA ceramicists to be considered for the award, proudly supported by Midland Brick and named in honour of Jaromir (Mike) Kusnik OAM, recognised for his outstanding contributions to the ceramic industry in WA.
