About Somatic Dance:

This will be a facilitated experience into the feeling layers of your body.

This space encourages free expression, breaking out of old patterns, trying new things, and letting the music move you into something new. It's not about looking pretty, getting it "right", or performing for anyone else. When we step on THIS dance floor, we include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide. We dance through pain and sorrow. We dance with joy until our hard edges soften and our masks fall away, here we meet other courageous dancers and we know, without a doubt, we are not alone.

The music and Sarah’s guidance will begin by settling into the space and connecting with yourself, your intention for the journey and Cacao, before starting to flow into movements.

This is a practice of letting your insides (or what is moving within), be expressed externally in a safe and non-judgmental space. As you go through your dance journey, you may find yourself accessing parts of yourself that you haven’t in a while, you might find yourself letting go of the thinking mind & limiting beliefs, allowing you to sink into the present moment, where you can find new pathways of movement and expression & create new beliefs that support your desires.

Your movement journey will naturally bring you back down to a resting position, where we will close our journey together, allowing you to leave feeling grounded, deeply relaxed and connected to yourself.

No "dance" experience necessary to join us. Here we can let go of what it means to "dance" and simply allow our bodies to move as they naturally know how to.
