THE WAY OF CEREMONY

Through the way, the way of ceremony, Kelly weaves in poetic ritual, the energies of nature and the higher realms to create safe and sacred ceremonial space for those gathering to connect to their divine essence of heart and soul, to connect with The Great Divine, to connect with the divine forces and cycles of nature.

She is an empowering plant medicine guide, supporting those who feel the call to connect with cacao both through a ceremonial setting and also through creating a sacred personal practice.

Kelly holds a trauma informed space for those wishing to explore the medicine of ceremony, cacao, trauma sensitive yin yoga, sound and guided meditation journeys.

After a number of years of a devotional and deepening practice with cacao, and through experiencing huge transformational shifts in her own heart and life, Kelly was called to complete the Heart Awakening Cacao Facilitator Training and the Seleno Health Ukhu Pacha Cacao Facilitator Training. She is blessed to soon be travelling to Peru to continue her initiation, training and connection with beloved cacao.

Kelly has completed yin yoga teacher training through Stella Yoga and Soma Psych. Both of which have a deep focus on trauma informed facilitation.

Kelly has drawn upon and connected with the medicine of ceremony since her late teens. She has a number of decades of ceremonial experience under her wing and has come to understand the absolute importance of holding a safe ceremonial space both energetically, physically, and emotionally.

Kelly’s own life journey through trauma, addiction and healing awakened her to follow a soul led life guiding others to find their true north through the modalities that she offers.

CACAO AND CEREMONY

A sacred plant medicine known to grow along the equatorial belt in particular Central and South America. Cacao has been used for thousands of years in ancient traditions, rituals, and rites of passage. More now than ever does this world need the healing medicine of cacao to open our hearts, to awaken and to heal.

When used in ceremony, in sacred space, with heartfelt intention, the medicine of cacao works to bring us back to our hearts, to facilitate healing and transformation. When brought back to our hearts, our sacred epicentre, we are once again deeply connected to ourselves and the worlds around us both seen and unseen.

Cacao boasts many amazing nutritional benefits supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Cacao can gently stimulate the cardiovascular system increasing blood flow and energy, support the healthy production of serotonin and dopamine, increase mental focus and clarity, promote feelings of relaxation, happiness, love, increase creativity and inspiration, nourish the body with various vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and health promoting fats and can help to take us out of our heads and into our heart space.

YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is a nourishing practice of slowing down and introspection. Where we gently flow into shapes that stretch/compress the body for longer periods of time than perhaps a more active practice. Yin yoga focuses more on the deeper tissues such as the fascial system, ligaments, and tendons as a way to strengthen and align the physical body.

Yin yoga is a practice of cultivating presence, curiosity, and mindfulness. It is a practice of calming the nervous system and turning our attention toward our inner landscape and ‘being’ with what is. As a yin yoga practice unfolds, we can experience the benefits of groundedness and recalibration of our energetic body.

This space is one to come home to yourself, into the body, to release, to let go and to create space for your own healing. This is a divine gift of self care, to be present, to be in an empowering space where you can safely go within and know you are held.

PRECAUTIONS/INSTRUCTIONS

Eat fresh and wholesome on the day to prepare your physical vessel for the medicine. If you need to eat beforehand, try to have a light meal about 2-3 hours before cacao is consumed.

Drink lots of water and avoid alcohol and any other recreational substances that day and preferably the day before.

Please advise if you are on any medications such antidepressants or antipsychotics, if you are pregnant, if you have any cardiovascular conditions, if you have any intolerance to fermented foods, if you experience anxiety.

If you have any other health conditions that you are unsure of with regards to drinking cacao please get in touch.

SOMATIC YIN YOGA

This trauma sensitive practice creates a safe space to drop into yin poses fully supported along with manual and energetic stimulation of fascia for balancing and healing. A safe and intentional sacred space is created along with breath awareness to surrender to each pose with the use of props and hands on adjustments.

A nourishing practice for the body by providing a safe space to deeply stretch and lengthen and for the mind and spirit by providing a safe space to just be, to invite in stillness, go within and to feel into what is present and release what no longer serves.

This space is one to come home to yourself, into the body, to release, to let go and to create space for your own healing. This is a divine gift of self care, to be present, to be in an empowering space where you can safely go within and know you are held.
