Hybrid solar eclipses are quite rare and interesting events. A hybrid solar eclipse is a combination of an annular and a total eclipse, where you can see one or the other depending on your location. These events only happen a few times per century, and the next one is on April 20th, 2023.

Solar eclipses are rich with meaning in the practice of astrology. Because solar eclipses always coincide with the new moon, they can be viewed as a time to put goals into tangible practice. The solar eclipse may instigate external rather than internal change and signify new beginnings. This could take the form of career opportunities, a new home, fresh ideas or changing interpersonal dynamics.

This specific eclipse will occur in Aries, which means the ram sign could be a good example to follow as we take these changes in stride. Traits such as boldness, straightforwardness and courage are associated with this sign, so these are great attributes to lean into during this time. You might find yourself feeling restless, but that’s okay. this is a great time to look forward and make plans for the future. After all, embracing change is one of the healthiest things you can do.

We are celebrating this rare solar eclipse with a sacred Cacao Ceremony, with a beautiful Crystal Grid laid out and set by Susan Cameron (owner of Capricorn Spirit), and an Energy & Sound Healing (crystal bowls) performed by Gina Prendergast.

Cacao is a sacred plant medicine from Peru, well known for it's heart-opening, bliss inducing qualities.

As the cacao's medicinal and vibrational qualities flow through you, you will be held in a sound bath of crystal singing bowls, reiki healing and quantum energy alchemy. You will leave harmonised, connected & nurtured.

This event is lead by Gina Prendergast, a professional Energy Alchemist (since 2001) and certified Cacao Ceremony Facilitator, who uses the most authentic and premium ceremonial cacao in the world from Soleno Health. Made with absolute reverence to the ancient people who have cultivated it for thousands of years. It is ethically sourced, sustainably produced and scientifically analysed to prove it to be the most medicinal and healing. Indigenous plant wisdom made by indigenous people.
