Cacao, Mushrooms, Yin & Sound
Event description
As we head towards Spring, take the opportunity to indulge in the darkness of Winter with this Sunday afternoon offering.
CACAO CEREMONY:
We start with setting intentions and connecting to our senses whilst sitting in ceremony with this ancient plant medicine.
For this ceremony we will be combining Cacao with mushroom tinctures (see below)
Cacao is an absolute power house when it comes to nutrients as well as mental and physical benefits.
Essentially, it is pure and raw chocolate that has not been heat treated (like mass produced cocoa that is the main ingredient in chocolate) and therefore contains all of the health benefits of a whole food.
Additionally it works with the Heart Chakra and assists to open this energetic centre in the body, as well as being a natural vasodilator, helping to promote better circulation throughout the body.
We will incorporate some breath expansion to help us digest our cacao and clear and uplift the mind.
MUSHROOM TINCTURES:
Kate Percy is one the founders of Down to Earth Mushrooms, a boutique mushroom grower based in Ngunguru.

YIN YOGA:
Yin is a gentle style of physical Yoga where you are encouraged to completely surrender and allow the body to naturally stretch and unwind.
In this practice, we target the connective tissue within our bodies (tendons, ligaments, muscles and fascia) whereby relaxation is necessary in order to allow this system to release.
Suitable for all levels, body types etc - even if you have never done yoga before.
SOUND BATH:
The day concludes with a deeply relaxing Sound Bath using instruments including Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Medicine Drum & more.
These instruments are attuned to specific frequencies and energetic centres within the body and will send you on a journey of deep relaxation and rejuvenation as well as having the potential to encourage visions, lucid dream-like states, clear thought & heal the physical body.
