*Cadet Legends Night* at Sandy Bay Sailing Club

A reunion for everyone who has sailed or supported International Cadets.

Have you ever sailed an International Cadet? You're a legend. Did you support a young Cadet sailor? You're a legend. Since 1955, International Cadets have had a profound impact on sailors and their families at Sandy Bay Sailing Club. 70 years later, and whether you sailed in those early days or only recently left the fleet, it's time to get all you legends together and celebrate our incredibly rich history. 

Come join us for a night filled with fun, nostalgia, and camaraderie. Share stories, memories, and laughs. Reconnect with old friends, make some new ones and relive the glory days. From sailing adventures to mishaps on the water, from legendary boats to epic performances on the world stage, we'll reminisce about it all over terrific food, great music, a generous auction and nostalgic exhibits both in the clubhouse and on the lawn (where you can marvel over old Cadets and inspect the current fleet).

Legends Night welcomes anyone and everyone who has been part of the Cadet history at Sandy Bay Sailing Club, whether as a sailor or supporter. All profits from ticket sales and the auction will go to support the continuted growth of International Cadets at SBSC through new marketing, training and development programmes as well as the purchase of new boats and equipment. Our goal? Create the best International Cadet programme in the country. So get your tickets, spread the word far and wide, round up all your old Cadet friends and get ready for a night of memories and good times. We can't wait to see you!

Schedule for the Night:

6:30: Welcome to Legend's Night! - The cash bar is open and the DJ is playing.

6:30 - 9:30: Enjoy our International Cadet Exhibits - Wander around the lawn and within the club to inspect old Cadets as well as the Current Fleet. Review the record of Tasmanian World, National and State Championship performances. Find yourself, your boat or your friends on our photo wall. (If you have some old relics or photos from your Cadet days, please tell us so we can include in our exhibits!)

7:00 - 7:10: Welcome from Fleet V Cadet Committee & Opening of Auction - We have a suite of fantastic items for you to bid on in our Auction. From weekends away to getting to name our next fleet Cadet, there will surely be something to catch your eye (and wallet).

7:15: Dinner served - You might have lovely memories of SBSC Canteen treats, but tonight we're serving some great food from local caterers across the various standing tables.

8:00 - 8:10: A Legend's Story - We welcome a true legend of the International Cadet Community to take the mic and say a few words about what sailing Cadets meant to them. Who will it be? You'll need to be here to find out.

9:15: Auction Closed and Winners Declared!

9:30: Last orders at the bar!

10:00: Thank you and good night!
