Café Philosophique: Death
Event description
Café Philosophique runs the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Bridge Hotel in Werribee, exploring the hidden forces that shape our lives through music, poetry and conversation.
Wednesday December 10th will be our last session for 2025!! We will be exploring our relationship to DEATH.
Can we learn to be less afraid of death? Should we be talking about it more? How does thinking about death impact how we live? How do rituals help us process grief?
We will begin with a music performance from Kim Cheshire. Kim is an ARIA nominated singer/songwriter who sings about life, love and longing in his signature zen cowboy style.
We will then hear from our feature poet who will lead us into our own creative writing time and open mic. We will end with some delicious desserts and deep conversations through our "philosophy café".
