Plant-Based Divination Readings W/ Caitlin Franzmann: Fortunes of the Forest

As part of Outer Space and the Institute of Modern Art’s Art After Dark series, DEMO 1/4, we invite you to join Caitlin Franzmann for a personalised 15-minute session of Fortunes of the Forest—a plant-based divination reading.

To secure a session, please select a time slot between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Friday, 9 May. If you’re no longer able to attend, kindly reply to your confirmation email so we can offer your time slot to someone on the waitlist.

Readings will take place in the IMA Screening Room at the Judith Wright Arts Centre. Please arrive 5 minutes early and have your booking confirmation email ready. As spaces are limited, late arrivals may forfeit their booking, and guests on the waitlist will be contacted.

Caitlin Franzmann is a Brisbane based artist who works with installation, sound, performance, and community-based projects. In reaction to the fast pace and sensory overstimulation of contemporary urban life, she encourages people to slow down and pay closer attention to their surroundings and interactions with nature. By creating thoughtful and engaging experiences in galleries and public spaces, she fosters conversation and reflection on local histories, ecosystems, and environmental issues.
