Event description

Join us for the official launch of the CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) Book Fair, a vibrant celebration of cultural and linguistic diversity within the Faculty of Arts.

The event will open with light refreshments (including delicious Vietnamese rolls and drinks!) in recognition of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 at 14:30.

Curated by the Faculty of Arts Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee in collaboration with the CALD Scholar Network, the Book Fair showcases works that highlight the richness of culturally and linguistically diverse voices in our academic community.

Following the launch, the book display will remain available for two weeks in either the Readers and Writers Lounge (ground floor near the Cult Café) or the study space outside the language labs on Level 2 of 25CWW in the Arts Precinct.

All are warmly welcome—staff, students, and members of the wider community!

For any queries please email Dr Chavalin Svetanant (chavalin.svetanant@.mq.edu.au).
