CALD Disability Forum
Event description
Purple Orange is on a mission to create a world where all people with disability have a voice and participate in their communities.
We warmly welcome people living with disability, their carers and supporters from all backgrounds to explore opportunities and share their lived experience in “easy English” presentations and discussions.
We are not a service provider trying to recruit clients. Instead, we support people with disability to improve their self-advocacy skills to lead a better life.
Our SKILL project enables co-designed, community-led disability peer networks to build capacity, connections and leadership. We seek to better understand the CALD disability community and to increase their representation in studies, focus groups and surveys we host to influence inclusion policy and practice.
Accessible transport can be organised on request. An agenda will be sent to registered participants prior to meeting.
All enquiries for more details about the forum or SKILL are welcome, including requests to meet within your own community settings at another time that suits you. Please do not hesitate to be in touch,
kariner@purpleorange.org.au or by texting / calling me on 0478 939 464.
