Bio:
Gaurav is on a mission to help job seekers in Australia. He founded the 'Finding a Job in Australia' meetup and has organized numerous events on job search topics. Having experienced the challenges of job hunting in a new country, not once but twice, he's determined to make it easier for others. With a background in project delivery and a passion for all things digital, he's working on creating a one-stop jobseeker's community.

Followed by our networking activities and games to get to know each other.

So, what's it like to be a part of a culturally and linguistically diverse group in cyber security?

It's tough!

Did you know that Australia is one of the world's most diverse countries? With 1 in 4 Australians born overseas, over 300 religions practiced, and more than 100 languages spoken.

In cyber security, we're serving this diverse community, and our industry should mirror this diversity. But, sadly, it doesn’t!

We often discuss getting and promoting more women in cyber roles, but have you ever tried looking up the percentage of CALD professionals in cyber or leadership roles? You'll quickly see how far behind we are.

This needs to change!

We are thrilled to launch our 'CALD in Cyber' community events and awards.

Our community's aim is to shine a spotlight on the unsung CALD heroes, the ones who often have to work twice as hard to prove their abilities in the industry.

Within this community, we aim to discuss and tackle our challenges head-on, create and seize opportunities, and ensure you feel valued, celebrated, and visible.
