The program is funded by CALHN as part of the ACEM EMET Program. This event is free to attend. Catering is provided.
This event is for Medical staff only. Numbers are limited, book early to avoid disappointment.
Participants receive an attendance certificate for 3 hours of CPD.
This 3-hour interactive workshop covers the recognition and acute
management of common endocrine and electrolyte emergencies including those relating to the various diabetic deteriorations (DKA, euglycaemic DKA and Hyperosmolar Hyperglycaemic State), and significant electrolyte disturbances.
Participants will also explore evidence-based fluid management strategies and electrolyte and glucose correction protocols. This will be achieved through presentations, scenarios and simulations.
