Calligraphy for Beginners – Uncial Script

This course in Uncial Calligraphy is for beginner students and those wishing to learn another script.

Uncials are a capital letterform, wide and round, written at a natural pen angle of 25% - 30%.

In each class I take you through a step-by-step process of the construction of letterforms and how to draw a small Celtic knot.

In the first 3 classes you will be learning how to use a chisel edge calligraphy pen and the language of calligraphy while hand lettering this beautiful Uncial script.

Then, in the last 2 classes of this 5 week course you will be using your new calligraphy skills to pen a short piece, adding a small Celtic art motif to decorate your piece.
