CALM Care Suicide Safety & Awareness Training
Description
CALM C-A-R-E is a 4-hour training course on Suicide Prevention that aims to teach anyone how to recognise the subtle warning signs that someone is considering suicide, as well as:
How to approach, make a connection, and know what to say
Building your confidence to respond to someone in a crisis
Providing different, more effective ways of asking someone about suicide
How to help someone to see that suicide is not the only answer
Using the CALM C-A-R-E App to provide ongoing support
Looking at the difference between burnout, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and moral injury
