    Event description

    Showcasing Agricultural Science

    Inspire your Year 10-11 classes with an interactive visit to the University of Sydney's Camden Campus to explore study and career pathways in real agricultural sciences. The day will include a visit to the active cattle and mixed enterprise facilities of John Bruce Pye Farm, plus three interactive workshops chosen by your school from a variety of topics: soil health, fish farming, veterinary practice, poultry nutrition, plant productivity and more!

    A BBQ lunch is included.

    Cost

    $11.00 inc GST per student.

    Teachers attend for free and are required for supervision. No payment upon registration - our team will invoice your school closer to the date when you have confirmed your student numbers. Financial support for registrations and can be provided to partnerships schools - contact us for details.

    Safety, Supervision & Risk Assessments

    Teachers must attend supervise classes throughout the program.     To Bring

    Before the day, we will reach out to teachers to get the Student Roll and special requirements from you. On the day, your students need to bring:

    • Signed media forms in hardcopy (or scanned beforehand)
    • Snacks, water bottles (BBQ lunch is provided) 
    • Weather protection 
    • Notebooks, pens, stationary 
    • (Recommended) bring face masks to use on the farm to protect against pollen, dust and animal fur and particulates. 

    Hands-on Workshops
