The Camelia Anderson-Setyowati Trio featuring Theo Henderson on bass, Jono Blackie on drums, and Camelia Anderson-Setyowati on piano is a unit that injects plasticity and dynamic range into jazz standards and arranged Waiata. The trio has an intimate, conversational approach, exploring the interplay between one another.
Their recent endeavours include a set at the Christchurch Jazz & Cabaret Festival, where they took a contrastingly energetic and vivacious approach.
They are currently studying at Ara Music Arts (Jazz School) and share love and influences from the likes of Ahmad Jamal, Bill Evans, and Keith Jarrett.
