Camp Bloom: The Gay Girls Galentine’s Camping Weekend

Okay girls, we’re going CAMPING!!

This Valentine’s weekend we’re swapping the fancy Bloom retreat houses for tents, river swims, campfire chats, lesbian Olympics and a whole lot of gay girly fun!

Think three days of making new queer friends, cooking together, floating down the river, laughing until your belly hurts and celebrating Galentine’s surrounded by women who just get it.

And we’re keeping this one super affordable! 

Here’s the plan

Friday

Hike, Waterfalls & Campfire Chats

For the early birds, we’ll kick things off with an optional four-hour return hike to Cronan Creek Falls, with a picnic lunch and a refreshing swim where conditions allow.

Then it’s off to Bigriggen to set up camp, followed by a communal BBQ, drinks and chats around the fire.

Saturday

Lesbian Olympics & Galentine’s party

Big breakfast cook-up, morning chats and floating down the river before our very first Camp Bloom Lesbian Olympics! Expect ridiculous challenges and absolutely no athletic ability required.

Saturday night we’re having ourselves a little Galentine’s party under the stars!

Sunday

Slow mornings & crafty lesbians

Coffee, lesbian arts and crafts, river swims and lunch together before packing up and heading home.

How does it work?

Camp Bloom ticket: $69 per person

Your ticket covers our organised weekend, group activities, shared supplies, a few little surprises and our private group chat so you can meet the girls before we even arrive!

A few things to know

• Book and pay for your own campsite directly with Bigriggen, plus grab your $69 Camp Bloom ticket.

• We’re camping without power, so make sure your setup is ready for it!

• BYO food and drinks, including some meat or veggie options to throw on the BBQ for our group cook-ups.

• Bring a few bits and pieces for our communal cheese and grazing platters. Think cheeses, crackers, dips, fruit or whatever you fancy!

• BYO camping gear, chairs and all your essentials.

• Friday’s hike is completely optional.

• Coming alone? PERFECT! So many women come to Bloom without knowing anyone, and we’ll have a group chat going beforehand so you can meet the girls.

Whether you’re single, partnered, newly out, questioning or just keen for a weekend with a bunch of queer women, you’re welcome here.

This one’s all about keeping things simple, affordable and full of connection. A little camping, a little chaos and a whole lot of lesbian joy.
