FAQ

What is Character Quest?

Character Quest - An Adventure in Art and Imagination!
In this playful, hands-on workshop, kids leap into drama games and storytelling to invent their own wild and wonderful characters - from silly space-pirates to playful pandas!

Using colourful materials, they’ll design expressive masks and craft one-of-a-kind paper bag puppets - complete with voices, emotions, and backstories.

A joyful mix of theatre, imagination, and creativity. Perfect for kids aged 5–12(ish) who love to create, play, and get a little bit silly.

Who are you?

We’re the Creative Chaos Collective - a colourful little crew on a mission to blend art, science, and joyful mess-making into workshops that spark imagination and celebrate curiosity.

Founded by Trish (they/them) - a neurodivergent educator with over 15 years of experience - our events are playful, inclusive, and hands-on. From crafting wild inventions to exploring the science behind slime, we believe learning works best when it’s creative, collaborative, and a little bit chaotic (in a good way).

How do I get in contact with the organisers?

You can have a look at our website to see if your question is answered there. If not, email Trish@CreativeChaosCollective.net

Is the venue accessible?

Our lovely little venue has a staircase and, sadly, isn’t wheelchair accessible just yet. We know this is a barrier, and it’s something we’re actively working to change for future workshops. If you have any access needs or questions, we’d love to chat and see how we can support you.

Is it neurodivergent-friendly?

We’re keeping things as calm and comfy where we can - the venue won’t be too busy on a Monday night, and we’re capping the workshop at 20 kids to avoid overwhelming energy. We’ve asked for the music to be turned down to help with noise levels.

As a proudly neurodivergent-led team, we get it. Noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys, stimming, pacing, and taking breaks whenever needed - it’s all completely expected. You are welcome as you are.

Should we bring anything?

No need to bring anything - just wear clothes that don’t mind a little mess and mischief!

What do families do while we wait?

We invite families to stay and relax on-site during the workshop. Enjoy the fun extras - pinball is free on Mondays, and there’s an indoor playground to keep little ones happily entertained nearby.

Is there food and drink available?

Yes! Moon Dog offers a tasty selection of food and drinks - perfect for fuelling up before or after the workshop. We encourage you to come a little early and enjoy a bite on-site. To keep things simple, please don’t bring your own food; the venue caters to a variety of dietary needs with plenty of options for everyone.

Will photos be taken?

We may take photos during the workshop to capture the fun and creativity - but rest assured, faces will be cropped out and children’s identities protected before any images are shared publicly.
