Camp SCRAP: Harvest Camp ★ Ages 7-12
Description
Camp SCRAP is an arts day camp focused on creative reuse, upcycling, and making resourcefully. This camp is for youth (ages 7 - 12) who LOVE art-making, inventing, crafts, and bringing their creative ideas to life!
For this 3-day camp, we’ll create a variety of harvest-themed crafts using some of our “best hits” as inspiration. Each day will feature a crafting theme, with a mix of staff-led projects and time for free creation.
Day one: Inspired by the season, weather, and nature. We’ll make fall nature jars and faux plant sculptures.
Day two: Focus on mixed-media crafts. We'll make 3D faux food inspired by the foods campers like to eat during the harvest transition.
Day three: Spend the day finishing up any remaining crafts, while having some freeform time for variety harvest crafts.
Daily Schedule:
Drop-off 9:00-9:15 am (programming begins at 9:15 am)
Pick up 1:15-1:30 pm

FAQs
- My child is 6 years old, but I think they'd love this camp! Can they join?
All of our camps start at age 7, as we find there to be a fairly large difference between ages 6 and 7 in fine motor skills, ability to handle certain tools, and creative planning (with respect to the types of projects we do here at SCRAP). However, if your child is *nearly* 7 and you feel very confident that in classroom settings, they can keep up with children a year or more older, then email us so that we can discuss more with you one-on-one before approving you to register!
- What should my camper bring?
A packed lunchbox & utensils, a refillable drink container with a lid, and creativity! Lunch should not require refrigeration or heating.
- What should my camper wear?
Creativity can be messy! We encourage dress that is comfortable but not precious.
Closed-toe shoes are a must!Shoes with open backs (crocs, clogs, closed-toe slides) must stay on at all times. If your camper is known to take open-back shoes off, we ask that they wear a fully enclosed shoe to Camp SCRAP.
- What is Camp SCRAP's Refund Policy?
90% refund until three weeks before your workshop start date, 50% refund until two weeks before your workshop start date. No refunds for cancellations less than 14 days.
