Meet us around the campfire for an evening of s'mores, songs ... and scary stories!
Vigilance's Campfire Stories invites audiences to join us at Camp Moonside for the annual scary-story competition. After a busy day of hunting cryptids and learning local lore, the campers gather around for some frightful tales ... but what's that in the woods? And are these really just stories after all?
In this atmospheric, immersive show, you'll get live stories (and effects) from our counselors, encounters with some otherworldly guests — and a few more surprises! (And yes: The s'mores are included.)

- Where does Campfire Stories take place?
Our show is held at the Scouting America camp Camp Guyasuta, near Aspinwall. The campfire arena is an outdoor space inside the camp.
- Where do we park? Is it accessible?
Free parking is available on site (with specific instructions arriving via email after you purchase your tickets). You'll check in at the parking lot and then head for the campfire arena; it's about a 10-minute walk, and you'll be led by a member of our staff.
If you'd prefer a quick ride to the campfire arena, we'll be happy to escort you via golf cart. There's a small hill between the path and the performance space; if that would be a challenge, the golf cart is the way to go!
- What happens if it rains?
We'll continue in a light drizzle, but anything more than that wouldn't be safe for you or our performers.
If the weather looks bad, we'll contact ticketholders between 4 and 5 p.m. to reschedule. Keep an eye on your phone and email the day of the show if you're worried about the weather; if you don't hear from us, the show is on!
If we begin but are forced to stop due to unexpected rain, we'll escort you back to your cars and reschedule.
If we're forced to reschedule (either in advance or spontaneously), we'll move your tickets to another night of your choosing. We may also add a performance if necessary.
- Is Campfire Stories very scary? Is it appropriate for younger audiences?
While Campfire Stories is by no means an extreme horror event, there are some moments that might be frightening for younger guests — and some startling scares that might make anyone jump!
We recommend Campfire Stories for ages 13 and up, but if you have a child who loves spooky stuff, reach out in advance and we'll help you decide if the show is appropriate for them.
- Is food available?
Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available — and s'mores are included with your ticket!
Since Camp Guyasuta is an active Scouting America camp, no alcoholic beverages (or smoking/vaping of any kind) are allowed on site.
- Are restrooms available?
There are restrooms along the path you'll take from the parking lot to the campfire arena, and more restrooms behind the pool adjacent to the performance space. They'll be available at all times — but if you need a restroom after dark, please find a member of our staff to accompany you.
