Camwell Wines @ Bowden Cellars
Event description
You may have seen the label Camwell Wines pop up around Adelaide, from Pet-Nat parties at the Stag and showing off at the Wine Playground at the Good Gilbert, to the wine-banter-filled Unico Zelo Youtube channel.
Owners/Winemakers Brad and Kendra White Cameron are the husband/wife duo behind the label. She has a great palette, he's a massive science nerd, and together they make great wines.
Camwell are known for their micro-batch, sustainably grown, low intervention hand-made wines, and when we say micro-batch, we mean micro with the label producing only 200 cases of wine a year. All of their wines are pressed lightly in a unique, restored traditional wooden press, before being left to age in a mix of neutral French and American oak barrels.
Sustainability is a priority, with their winery being 100% solar-powered, and minimal machinery utilised throughout the winemaking process.
The couple also work closely with their family to select the best fruit each vintage from either family-owned or managed sites (but you'll hear more about that on the night). From picking to processing - here, the focus is on letting the fruit be the center of attention.
Every ticket gets you a one and half-hour guided tasting through a curated selection of Camwell's delicious wines, an individual cheese platter to cleanse the palate between tastings, and 10% off purchases of Camwell Wines on the night.
When: 6pm for a 6:30pm start (ends 8pm)
See you there!
