Canberra Community Anti-Scam Forum
Event description
Whether it’s spam texts, calls or misleading advertisements on social media, scam activity is on the rise and its costing people, businesses, and the economy billions of dollars each year.
To help navigate these important issues, I am pleased to be hosting a Community Anti-Scam Forum with Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services, the Hon Stephen Jones MP.
The forum will be an opportunity to learn ways to protect yourself from scams, know what to do if you have been targeted by a scam, and hear about the steps the Albanese Government is taking to crackdown on this insidious crime.
I am proud to be part of a Government that is committed to addressing the increased risk of scams across Australian communities. Recently we’ve launched a cutting-edge National Anti-Scam Centre to help protect Australians by cracking down on scammers.
We hope to see you there.
