What are these Fabulous Ladies Wine Society events all about?

This is all about bringing together women who love wine and introducing you to women who produce wine! Over an evening of wining, dining, learning and laughing. Most importantly, as a wine drinker and buyer, you are given the chance to directly support the women who make it.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely! Lots of people do. And we'll seat you with some fabulous wine loving women who'll quickly become new friends.

Canberra members, it’s your turn to meet the women-in-wine duo of Orbis Wines! Orbis Wines has fast become a The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society member favourite, and after sold out events with us in Adelaide, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Sydney & Darwin we’re finally bringing them to Canberra!

Orbis have an amazing female winemaker and managing director at the helm, Verity Cowley, and a female owner too in Kendall Grey. It’s double the fabulous. Both of them will be at this event for you to meet and sip with!

Verity, Kendall and the team are all about producing incredible quality wines (they let all the awards they’ve received do the talking on this!) using regenerative practices, a pursuit of closed loop farming and carbon net zero. The wines are minimal intervention, with low to no sulphur additions, no added fining agents and are unfiltered, gluten free and vegan.

Based in McLaren Vale, the Orbis vineyard is one of the coolest and highest in the McLaren Vale Wine region. Even if you think you already know McLaren Vale wines, for all these many reasons and more this Orbis range is going to knock your socks off! Terms & Conditions of Booking

Cancellations: No refunds are permitted. We know this is strict, however hospitality has tight margins and events are tough to execute at the best of times - the current environment makes things even tougher. Your ticket is fully transferable though so you can send someone else in your place. Just let us know so we’ve got the right name at the door.

Tickets: We may ask to see your ticket during the evening, so please have a copy handy.

Arriving late: Please note that late arrivals are permitted, however you may miss out on any wine or food that has already been served.
