National Domestic and Family Violence Remembrance Day 2024
Event description
On the first Wednesday of May, people across Australia hold vigils and light candles to remember and honour people who have been killed because of domestic and family violence and to remember people who continue to suffer.
Your attendance at this event is an important way of raising awareness that domestic and family violence continues to be a real and serious threat to the safety and wellbeing of many people. This is an opportunity for the community to stand together in solidarity against domestic and family violence.
The Centre for Women’s Safety and Wellbeing would like to invite you to our Remembrance Ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday, 1st of May 2024.
Doors open at 5:15pm
Free parking is available adjacent to the venue.
Registrations are limited.
