Event description

Leading cannabis medicine experts Deondra Asike, MD, and Rhea Jacobson, DPT, MS, join CannabizMD Founder/CEO Jacquie Cohen Roth, MS, for a discussion on the therapeutic benefits of medical cannabis managing symptoms associated with pain, anxiety, and insomnia. This essential discussion will include considerations of drug interactions with medical cannabis and anesthesia protocols for medical cannbis patients and consumers.

Dr. Asike, a double board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine, brings extensive experience as a Johns Hopkins Clinical Associate and Chair of the Maryland Cannabis Public Health Advisory Council. Dr. Asike is the founder of a physician-led consulting practice specializing in the use of cannabis therapeutics for chronic pain management with a holistic approach.

In her physical therapy practice, Dr. Jacobson helps patients regain movement and manage pain. Using a holistic approach, Dr. Jacobson develops individual, hands-on treatment plans for every client she sees to stimulate the body’s own healing abilities. She has expanded her practice to include medical cannabis education to educate the medical community and consumers about the medicinal and healing properties of cannabis and dispel the myths and stereotypes associated with cannabis.

Jacquie Cohen Roth will moderate the discussion with the providers, and attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a 15-minute Q&A period.

The webinar's proceeds support The Tea Pad Foundation LTD, a nonprofit that empowers equitable participation in the cannabis industry through education and professional development. Tea Pad focuses on advancing women and BIPOC in cannabis STEM (science, technology, engineering, and medicine).
