Canterbury Tech June 2023 Monthly Event
Event description
Canterbury Tech June Monthly Event
Join us and our guest speaker Adam Lyness, Business Development Director, Intranel.
He will be presenting, '"When software meets hardware; hacks for rapid prototyping mixed projects."
Conventionally, there’s been a separation between hardware / embedded engineering and ‘software’ development processes. Increasingly, we view this distinction as artificial as cheap, powerful silicon and better tools have reduced the specialist knowledge required to build mixed hardware / software projects.
Adam will lead a conversation around Intranel’s experience across several mixed projects, sharing ‘work avoidance’ tips that we use to get projects off the ground quickly. He’ll also cover challenges (like when your project starts to look like Frankenstein’s monster) and where specialist knowledge becomes important, especially as projects scale.y with some simple advice to take your approach to people leadership to the next level.
About Adam Lyness:
Adam is development director at Intranel Consulting. He enjoys entrepreneurial adventures and helping clients to build product, especially if it involves emerging tech. Several recent projects have involved hardware so the office has exchanged a minimalist aesthetic for more gadgets, a win in his opinion.
