Canterbury Tech November 2023 Monthly Event
Event description
Canterbury Tech November Monthly Event
Join us for our final monthly event of 2023 with presenters Sam Sehnert, CTO and Tim Ackroyd, Sr. Developer, Custom D
Sam and Tim will be presenting, 'The Fine Art of Deployment Automation' From “move fast and break things” to “move fast and break nothing”
Software delivery has come a long way from the dark ages of physical CDs and several weeks of preparation to release an update. Today’s expectation is 100% uptime, fast bug fixes and updates deployed as soon as they’re ready without interruption to business or user operations. But how many actually deliver on that promise?
In this talk, Sam and Tim will demystify CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) for everyone and share both the business benefits and real-world technical implementation.
About Sam and Tim
Sam has been CTO at Custom D for over 8 years. Not only does he possess an incredible depth of knowledge and experience in all things
to do with app development, but he also knows server infrastructure, security, and DevOps inside out. In short, he’s our Guru. Our clients, who are business owners and founders, turn to Sam for higher-level strategic advice relating to the direction of their products.
We rely on Sam to keep us ahead of the curve and ensure we’re operating at the highest level possible when it comes to best practices, quality and security.
Tim has been with Custom D for 10 years as a senior developer. He’s known for pushing the boundaries of our development and helping to introduce new and emerging technologies including Web3 and AI. Tim has overseen the development and delivery of numerous large-
