Event description

Join Young Change Agents for an engaging and hands-on masterclass with Jo Muirhead (Canva Learning Consultant), designed for educators and students, where you will explore the powerful Canva editor and tools through a content creation design activity.

A significant phase of our design-thinking entrepreneurial programs is prototyping and Canva is an creative platform for visual communication and collaboration!

This session can be done:

  • as a class activity - teachers project the webinar, while students have the opportunity to practice their skills on their own devices during the session

  • independently as an educator or a student

This Canva Essentials Skills session will empower educators and students by providing the foundational tools necessary to enhance teaching and learning through Canva for Education.

You will learn:

  • how prototyping helps bring student ideas to life

  • to navigate the Canva homepage, utilise the editor, customise templates, and explore various features designed to streamline the design process

  • to enable the creation of engaging educational materials with greater efficiency

  • how to provide a creative space for students to demonstrate their understanding

  • about Canva tools and techniques for creating digital products/prototypes as design thinking solutions for social enterprise

We will also take a look into Canva’s new release: Code for Me, which will allow educators and students to build your own digital tools, educational games, and virtual manipulatives.
