Event description

Cape Conran is one of the favorite places for visitors and locals alike, with tens of thousands of people each year coming to stay or for day visits!

Have you ever wondered about the important role this granite outcrop plays in the ecosystem?

Join Ranger Mike Irvine, who has exceptional knowledge of the coastline, both above the waterline and below, as he talks about the connection between sea and land, plants and animals, and Parks Victoria's role in showcasing and preserving this for future generations.

The walk will be under 2kms, walking on tracks with uneven surfaces. Please wear appropriate walking shoes.

  • Any child must be accompanied by a parent/carer over the age of 18 years.
  • Attendees must wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing, such as raincoats or a broad rimmed hat.
  • Activities may be rescheduled, changed or cancelled due to adverse weather or for emergency response.

This event is part of the 2024 East Gippsland Winter Festival, running from 21 June - 21 July. For the full festival program, please visit: https://egwinterfest.com.au/
