Our "Mid-Pace Hikers" group strikes the perfect balance between fitness and enjoyment. These hikes are designed for those seeking a challenge without feeling rushed, offering plenty of opportunities to capture photos and appreciate the stunning natural surroundings. They’re ideal for hikers who want to improve their strength and endurance while connecting with like-minded individuals who value the outdoors and the benefits of regular, moderately paced exercise.

Pace: 10-13 minutes per kilometre.

If you're unsure whether this pace suits your fitness level, we recommend starting with our "Relaxed Hiker" hikes, which provide a great introduction to the group and allow you to build confidence at a gentler pace.

Join us for an exhilarating adventure along the Two Bays Walking Track at Cape Schanck! This scenic hike takes you through stunning coastal landscapes, native bushland, and very high cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the rugged coastline. We'll also explore Bushrangers Bay, a hidden gem with its secluded beach with amazing rock formations. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or new to the trail, this event promises an unforgettable experience as we immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Mornington Peninsula!!!

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

- Some inclines

- Uneven ground

- Exceptional fern gullies

- Great people

- Improved fitness

- Toilet at beginning

- Return hike

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact jacket

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children (18+), babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
