    2024 CAPILANO UNIVERSITY TEACHING AND LEARNING SYMPOSIUM

    This three-day symposium is intended for faculty teaching at Capilano University to explore novel and innovative classroom pedagogies. The symposium offers multiple opportunities for inspiration, teaching strategies to implement in your next class and for individual reflection and collective connection. 

    This year's theme: NURTURING LEARNING: WHAT IS, WHAT WAS, AND WHAT COULD BE 

    Keynote speakers: Dr. Maha Bali*, Dr. Johanna Sam, 

    Guest speaker: Lucas Wright

    April 24 (Wednesday) is ONLINE.
    April 25 (Thursday) and April 26 (Friday) are IN-PERSON on the 3rd floor of the Library Building, Main Campus, North Vancouver.

    Join us 4:00-5:00pm, April 26 (Friday) for a special social event to conclude the symposium. Featuring food, live music, and other entertainment.

    Check the CTE website for updates on the Symposium Schedule as we finalize this over the coming weeks. 

      Pre-Registration is required for EACH DAY of this Symposium to ensure room/active learning requirements, and to minimize food waste. If you have food allergies or other dietary requirements, please contact cte@capilanou.ca.

      Coffee, tea, snacks, and lunch will be provided on April 25th and 26th.

      Please let the CTE know at cte@capilanou.ca if you have any dietary restrictions.

      *Dr. Bali's keynote will be recorded at her request
