This event is for you if you would like to learn about ongoing issues in our society and connect with people from all walks of life.
August's Debate Topic
Our debaters will discuss the topic ' Capitalism could turn around the environmental crisis' in Melbourne.
The Affirmative team will defend the statement by talking to us about how the growing demand for environmentally friendly products has driven innovation and accessibility through economies of scale. While the Opposition's team will argue against it by talking about the unnecessary growth of production being detrimental to the environment overall and other structures such as social enterprise solutions can drive the same benefits without the downsides of capitalism.
Debaters will not be representing their own or their company’s opinions, they are simply helping us understand the points on both sides of the discussion. It will lead to a fascinating discussion that you cannot miss!
