Bus outing to the Capri Theatre

Visit this grand building for a light morning tea (tea/coffee and biscuits) and tour. Learn about the history of the Capri from its early days, including its Art Deco styling, the installation of the organ and the restoration to its original grandeur. You will also hear about the history of cinema in Adelaide and how the experience differed back then, followed by a demonstration of the organ from one of the talented volunteers.

Please meet in the Civic & Community Centre carpark at 9.15am for a 9.30am departure.

ACCESSIBILITY: There are two flights of stairs to the upper foyer and another flight of stairs into the upper section of the main auditorium on the tour. If you experience accessibility issues, you can take a seat in the stalls section and still hear what the guide is saying and see related pictures on the screen.

You must be a Town of Walkerville resident and 60+ to attend.
