Join photographer Tim Seaton for an inspiring and hands-on photography session exploring the beauty of Avalon’s coastal environment.

Spend time out on Avalon Beach learning simple techniques to create striking coastal and marine images using the equipment you already have, whether that’s a camera or simply your phone. Discover how composition, light, perspective and timing can transform an everyday beach scene into an image that tells a story.

Back at Avalon Surf Club, Tim will share a selection of his incredible coastal photography, offering an insight into the stories behind the images and the power of photography to celebrate our oceans, deepen our connection with the coast and inspire us to protect it.

No specialist equipment needed, just bring your creativity and a camera or phone.

Presented by Northern Beaches Council as part of Ocean Festival 2026.
