A little about Along Comes Mary

Mary-Jane Hendry
(vocals), Marianne Loftus (vocals), and Stephen Stone (guitar), first came together as Along Comes Mary for the Adelaide Fringe over ten years ago. They have enjoyed performing ever since, playing sold out shows not only during Fringe, but all year round across the state.

The Along Comes Mary family has grown over the years and they are now ably supported by honorary Mary's David Bentley (bass) and Tom Stehlik (drums).

Mary-Jane's lifelong passion for music has seen her perform many genres at both private and corporate functions on a solo platform, as well as group performances, with a passion for jazz and of course the sixties!

The earliest influences for Marianne were the Everly Brothers, Del Shannon, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald. Marianne has sung a range of contemporary music from rockabilly, pop and jazz at both public and private functions.

Stephen has mastered many different musical genres. In his early musical career, Stephen played for The Zoot and recorded their hit single “You’d Better Get Going Now”. Today apart from playing Jazz, Sixties, Folk and Greek music, he also finds time to play bass in his town’s local Concert & Big Band.
