SA Variety Bash: Car 13 - Monkey Business Variety SA Fundraiser
Event description
SA Variety Bash
Car 13 Monkey Business - Variety SA Fundraiser
Quiz trivia, games, and live music from our Bash car mix tape
Not just a typical quiz night!
We'll be combining quiz night games, trivia and live music all into one entertaining evening (feel free to sing along
and dance if you want!)
Our Variety Bash car is from the 90's and we thought we'd share some of the mix tapes we found in the car. It's a real mixture of genres from across the decades! Local Adelaide Hills group JimJam have joined our jungle chorus and will be performing some of the tunes from the tapes!
Steve 'Storytelling Silverback' Davis, local Adelaide comedian and regular on FiveAA, will be our MC extraordinaire. 🐵
We are proud to acknowledge the support of these local South Australian businesses and organisations:
- Tuckers Natural for providing their artisan gourmet crackers for the pre-order platters
- Foodland SA for providing bananas (we mean financial assistance)
- Kytons Bakery for their in-kind support of their yummy products
- Club Holdfast Bowls and Croquet Club for the use of their venue
🎉 All funds raised support Variety SA - The Children's Charity

About our cause
Car 13 Monkey Business is going bananas for a brilliant cause in the iconic SA Variety Bash!
Our troop of enthusiastic primates is on a mission to raise funds for children across South Australia who are sick, disadvantaged, or living with disability.
We’re not professional fundraisers (we’re learning as we go!), but we’re passionate about creating a relaxed, enjoyable way for our community to make a real difference.
Why we're going bananas
Ever wondered what drives three grown men to decorate a car like a jungle, make monkey noises, and traverse the Australian outback in scorching heat? It’s simple – the kids.
In 2023-2024 alone, Variety SA granted over $5.2 million to help 43,009 children across South Australia through:
- Mobility equipment like wheelchairs and modified bikes
- Communication devices for non-verbal children
- Therapy services and medical assistance
- Educational support and inclusive playgrounds
- Scholarships in sports and arts
When you see a child receive the equipment they need to participate fully in life – that’s a moment that changes you forever. It’s why we go ape for fundraising!
