MORE ABOUT CARAVÃNA SUN

Since 2011, Sydneysiders CARAVÃNA SUN have built a renowned reputation across the globe for their dynamic and energetic live performances. Their infectious grooves which progressively merge their surfy coastal lifestyle with elements of explosive rock, euphoric electronica/dance and rambunctious reggae/ska have earned the band slots on some of the world’s most coveted stages. Highlights include Boardmasters (UK), Boomtown (UK), Reggae Sun Ska (France), Bluesfest Byron Bay, Summer in the City (Germany), Party in the Paddock (TAS), Woodford Folk Festival (QLD) and headlining Madnes (Netherlands) to name a few. They have also toured with iconic artists such as Madness, UB40, The Cat Empire and Fat Freddy’s Drop among many others. CARAVÃNA SUN also had success with their hypnotic track ‘Whale Song’, which was featured in the global award winning documentary, ‘Seaspiracy’. The film featured in the top 10 most watched on Netflix across numerous countries upon its release, generating significant traction on the issue of ocean conservation. This saw the band further secure their place on the world stage and brought with it a huge influx of new fans from far and wide.

In 2022, CARAVÃNA SUN performed to one of their biggest crowds on the main stage at Bluesfest Byron Bay, which saw over 10,000 in attendance. With lots of exciting new music in tow and fresh off another extensive European and national tour, the band is determined to deliver another fan favourite performance with their new live show at Bluesfest 2024!

CARAVÃNA SUN have not only cemented their place as a standout band across the world, but also shown no signs of slowing down, signing in 2020 with Berlin’s Embassy of Music and joining a heavyweight roster, including Björk, Moby, and fellow Aussie acts Ball Park Music. As a result of their extensive touring schedule pre-Covid, the release of the album ‘Live in Germany’ was only natural, extending their live show from colossal crowds to listeners around the globe. Since the settling of the pandemic, the band has returned to hardcore touring around Australia and beyond, and also released their self-produced third studio album, ‘Burning Palms’ in early 2022. In 2023, CARAVÃNA SUN rejoined forces with producer Joel Quartermain (Eskimo Joe, Budjerah, Gflip, Meg Mac) to pursue their next body of work, featuring their latest club-filling singles ‘Moments’ and ‘Hearts Awake’.

“The Sydneysiders' third album is a sonic treat. With a solid backbone of rhythm and the loose tag of surf rock, their songs contort themselves in a variety of styles.”
Sydney Morning Herald

“Charlie’, the first single of the year for Caravãna Sun, sees the typically ebullient band get vulnerable, if still uplifting.”
Music Feeds

“It's a brilliant track that really captures the group at a new peak, teasing their forthcoming material with some of the best work they've put out to date.”
