Thursday 9th 10am - 2pm: at Carclew, 11 Jeffcott St North Adelaide

Thursday 9th 2pm - 8pm: Gig at Jive 181 Hindley St Adelaide

Ages: 13-17

Cost: $200 per participant

Holiday Bands is back! A four day music intensive for young people where you join a band on a Monday and play a gig on Thursday night.

A sell-out program, Holiday Bands is the unofficial front door to Adelaide’s music scene for young people, connecting them with creative community, relevant skills and exciting all-ages opportunities to be part of an unforgettable music experience.

Whether you're a budding guitarist, vocalist, drummer or just love making music, this four-day intensive is the ultimate way to meet like-minded teens, form a band, and take the stage.

What’s included:

Form bands and write original music with guidance from emerging and established artists
Jam, record and workshop skills like booking gigs, creating merch, and connecting with the music community
Experience daily live performances from some of Adelaide's best current original acts.
Record a demo of an original track in Carclew’s professional Stables Studio and shoot press photos
Perform live at classic Adelaide live music venue Jive on Day 4!

10 tickets for first time participants (First Timer!)

Night Mode: Holiday Bands now has 'Night Mode': a continuation of the program running in the evenings (same dates) for participants who've attended at least two Holiday Bands, are committed to their instrument and want to take being in a band further. Night Mode participants are expected to have an intermediate skill level and their own gear. They will record at Adelaide's Interim Studios and be mentored by professional contemporary musicians. Accessibility information:
This event will occur within Carclew's Board Room, Art room, Low Down Studios, Stables Studio and Ballroom. Low Down Studios is not wheelchair accessible due to a step and tight doorway. All other spaces have flat approaches and standard doorway widths. Ramp entrance available at rear of building.
