Careers & Subject Expo 2022

This event has passed Register

Event description

Please note that registration for this event will open 7.00am Tuesday 26 July

This evening is a chance for students and parents to talk to subject teachers, universities and training providers as they make decisions on subject selections and possible future career options. This is a great way to start positive pathway conversation as we move into subject selections for 2023.

Years 9 and 10 are pivotal years in deciding subjects and possible future career directions. Students have plenty of time to explore careers and to try subjects that may interest them, or sometimes, try subjects they need to do to achieve their goals. Students in Year 11 need to be able to choose subjects that enable them to gain the opportunities for work and study they would like for future years.

After this event, students will be able to start choosing their 2023 subjects. They will receive one-on-one guidance in this process from CCAPP teachers and pastoral carers in Weeks 2 and 3 of Term 3. Subject selection is online, as it was last year, and the mix of subjects we will offer in 2023 will be in-line with the choices students make over the next couple of weeks. Final subject selections will be signed off by parents, as is our normal requirement.

Please allocate your preferred timeslot of entry for your family and child/ren via registering. You only need to register once for your family group, including if you have multiple children in Years 9-11. There is no time limit for visiting the Expo, however please allow for a minimum of 30 minutes to make your way through the event.
