Event description

You're invited to a young carers art exhibition at the North East Metro Connect Ivanhoe hub. On Wednesday 16 April, North East Metro Connect, Little Dreamers and Austin FaPMI will facilitate a school holiday program where young people will express themselves using traditional art forms. This exhibition will showcase their stories and experiences of being a young carer or supporter of someone challenged by different circumstances. Gallery open 9am-5pm until mid May.

Who we are

North East Metro Connect is a warm and welcoming space for families, carers, supporters and kin of people challenged by mental health and/or alcohol and other drug use.

The establishment of the service, as one of eight “Connect centres” across Victoria, was one of the key recommendations in the Victorian Mental Health Royal Commission.

North East Metro Connect has been co-designed by people with a lived/living experience of being family members and carers of people with mental health and substance use concerns. We work closely with people across the community to ensure families/carers’ needs are understood and supported.

Our service is funded by the Department of Health.
