💜 Carers Week: A Morning for Carers

Friday, 16 October 2026 | Cheela Plains

As part of Carers Week 2026, AWARE invites carers from Tom Price and Paraburdoo to join us for a special morning dedicated to celebrating you — the incredible people who give so much of themselves to supporting others.

Take a well-deserved break from the everyday and enjoy a morning of creativity, connection and self-care in the beautiful surrounds of Cheela Plains.

🌈 What to expect:

🎨 A fun and relaxing mosaic workshop, where you’ll create your own beautiful piece to take home
💜 An opportunity to meet and connect with other local carers
☕ Time to relax, chat and enjoy a morning away from your usual responsibilities
❤️ A welcoming and supportive environment where carers can simply enjoy being cared for themselves

Whether you are a parent, partner, family member, friend or anyone who provides care and support to someone else - this morning is for you.

🚌 Free bus transport available

We know getting out to Cheela Plains can be one more thing to organise, so free bus transport will be available from Tom Price/Paraburdoo.

Bus places are limited to 9 people, so please make sure you select the bus option when registering if you would like a seat.

🎟️ Registration is essential

Places for the morning are strictly limited to 15 carers, so early registration is recommended.

This event is an opportunity to pause, breathe, create something beautiful and spend some time with people who understand the unique experience of caring for others.

Because carers deserve to be cared for too 💜

We look forward to celebrating you this Carers Week!

💜 With Thanks to Our Supporters

This special Carers Week event has been made possible through the generous support of Lotterywest and Carers WA, helping us create meaningful opportunities for local carers to connect, recharge and feel valued.

A special thank you to Garduwarra Mia Community & Youth Support Services Inc. for generously providing the bus transport, helping us make it easier for carers from Tom Price and Paraburdoo to join us at Cheela Plains.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our supporters for helping us create a morning where carers can be cared for too 💜
