CARERS WEEK LUNCH AT MENTAL HEALTH WELLBEING CONNECT - DANDENONG
Eligible unpaid Carers are invited to take some time out for themselves at this FREE respite event for relaxation and an opportunity to connect with like carers who live in your local community.
Description of the event: Carers are invited to attend a lunch at the Connect Centre South East Metro main site in Dandenong to celebrate Carers week this October. We look forward to acknowledging our amazing Carers on the program and all their hard work looking after family and loved ones the throughout the year.
This is an opportunity to meet the Connect Centre team, enjoy a catered lunch in their beautiful space, and a tour of this recently opened purpose built site at Dandenong.
Prior to lunch Carers will hear from speakers from the Connect Centre Program including their Lead and a member from the the Victorian Aboriginal Child & Community Agency (VACCA)
VACCA is the leading Aboriginal child and family services organisation in Victoria. VACCA provides Cultural Support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander carers, aligned to specific social and emotional wellbeing frameworks. Following lunch Carers will have the opportunity to tour the Centre and hear about the specific supports available to Carers .
