Fri, 6 Jun, 5pm - 9 Jun, 10am AEST

Event description

Join us to care for the Confest country; nurture the land and connect with each other. We'll plant hundreds of trees and shrubs, water them from the river, and tackle some weeds. There'll be an opportunity to learn about the ecology of the Mid-Murray Catchment, where 'Woorooma' - the Confest site - is situated. And hear about land care history and plans.

Breakfast food will be provided. Previously we've had lunches and dinners catered too - we'll confirm closer to time. Otherwise bring lunch and dinner food and snacks. There are cooking facilities, refrigeration, flushing loos and hot showers.

Bring sturdy boots, gators if you have them, a hat, water bottle, long sleeve tee-shirts or light long-sleeve shirts, insect repellent and sleeping bag. Gloves and tools will be provided but extra, sturdy weeding and planting tools won't go astray. A tent or campervan is also recommended, though there are some rustic old caravans by the cottage, where we'll be based.

At night we'll hang by the campfire.

If you need a carpool lift let us know in the registration. If you can carry passengers in a carpool let us know.

Thanks for Caring for Confest!
