Carmel School is pleased to welcome Diane Smith-Gander AO to be the Keynote Speaker at our 2022 Carmel Business Breakfast.

Diane Smith-Gander is a successful businesswoman and professional company director with 40 years of experience spanning various countries and industries. She has worked for some of Australia's largest corporations. 

Currently, she encompasses a wide scope of leadership roles including chairing ZipCo and DDH1, being a chair-elect of HBF Health and a non-executive director at AGL Energy. Diane is also a past President of Chief Executive Women, Australia's pre-eminent women's advocacy group.

Graduating Melville Senior High School, she obtained a BEc at UWA and her MBA from the University of Sydney. In 2015, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from UWA where she is now the Chair of the Business School Advisory Board. Having a passion for the importance of education and advocating for women, she has also served on the Council at Methodist Ladies; College in Perth.

A very proud Western Australian, Diane has been a resident here since 2008. We look forward to meeting her at the Business Breakfast.

Growing in attendance over the past few years, the Carmel Business Breakfast is now a highly-anticipated business event in our community. We are expecting a strong response to the invitations for this event and will be reaching out to leaders in the Western Australian Consulting, Accounting and Finance, Law, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors, as well as Members of Parliament and Opposition.

Attendance at this event has grown each year, from 110 guests in 2018 to over 250 in 2021. We anticipate welcoming approximately 300 guests to this year's event.
